Skriver adskillige lystspil og en enkelt kriminalroman. Er i 9 år bidragyder til "Punch". Udgiver en række populære børnerim, som stadig er stadig elsket af engelske børn - men som dog ikke har fristet danske oversættere. Det har derimod historierne om "Peter Plys" - sønnens bamse - og hans venner Grislingen, Ninka Ninus, Æslet, Tigerdyret og de andre enkle - men eviggyldige - karakterer. Den første danske oversættelse kommer i 1930. Milne dør i 1956.

You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.
